Cross-Disciplinary Encounters with Theology
Justice and Rights Book Launch
More than 60 faculty and graduate students gathered at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, to launch GFI’s first book.
About the gathering
The Oxford launch featured Justice and Rights: Nicholas Wolterstorff in Dialogue with the University (Eds: Terence C. Halliday & K. K. Yeo), published by Langham Global Library. Dr. Bethan Willis, Chaplain of the Oxford Pastorate, interviewed Professor Wolterstorff live from the US on the gripping story of his personal and philosophical journey to grapple with justice and rights.
A panel discussion with Prof. John Coffey (Leicester), Prof. Lorna Smith (Oxford), GFI Founding Co-Convenor Donald Hay (Oxford), and Prof. Dinesha Samararatne (Colombo) opened a discussion on the theological lens that Justice and Rights offers for scholarship and scholars’ distinctive calling to “love the Lord our God with all our minds” in universities across the world.
