Order and Chaos Graduate Seminar Series
Oxford graduate students and postdoctoral researchers found that the theme of chaos and order opened unexpected dimensions within their own disciplines.

About the gathering
In convening a series of conversations on “Chaos and Order”, Oxford graduate students and postdoctoral researchers discovered that this theme opened unexpected dimensions within their own disciplines. Were they observing order, constructing it, unsettling it — or something else entirely? Moving to begin conversations through the lens of chaos and disorder was significant in allowing the group to connect the theology of created order into subjects of study and their experiences of the world in meaningful ways. Engaging with the diverse perspectives of international Christian scholars and the incisive moral theology of Nigel Biggar, participants found fresh ways to invigorate their research, teaching, and academic practice.
Graduate students from a variety of disciplines attended.
